Start with the exact file you will use
Open Upload & edit, confirm you may edit the artwork and choose its PNG, JPEG or WebP file. Inspect it over both white and dark preview backgrounds. The checkerboard is only a viewing aid; it is never written into your PNG.
- Select the layer and open Inspect & Repair.
- Choose the background color with the eyedropper, then use the picked color in the repair panel.
- Enable Remove edge-connected background and increase tolerance gradually.
- Compare Before / After and check white clothing or light hair before exporting.
When the automatic result needs help
A background connected to white parts of the drawing may remove too much. Draw an outline or use the selection brush to limit removal. Use Erase and Restore to refine the mask. Defringe is a suggestion-based color repair for semi-transparent edges, not proof that every halo is gone.
Save a useful result now
Download Current PNG even if other layers are unfinished. Turn on transparent trimming and safe padding for a compact asset. A complex scene may need careful manual work; this tool does not automatically identify a person or recreate hidden hair.
